Martha Kelly recently released the single ‘Bug Apple’ from her now released album ‘Hedony
Undone’.
Based in Gisborne city, New Zealand, Martha has long been a solo performer but in recent years has worked in groups and with bands bringing new dimensions to her music.
Her eclectic compositions are often curious and thought provoking, other times, slightly risqué or just foot tapping fun.
Some of the musical influences in Martha’s music are Lou Reed, Alt-J, Lorde, Kim Gordon, Ed Keupper and many blues singers from a bygone era.
Producer David McCall in Hawkes Bay, studio produced ‘Hedony Undone’ with both UK and New Zealand musicians contributing to a sound that will stay with you long after.
The album launch is at Smash Palace on Friday 24th April, 7pm start with the band ‘Monterey’, plus backing vocalists, keyboard and horn section guests.
